If they don't have any 1030 gddr5 cards in your area, look for other inexpensive cards. Such as the amd Rx 460 or amd Rx 560, or even a gtx 950/960. I would try and shoot for 4 gigabyte Rx 460 or Rx 560 if your on a low budget and need a gaming gpu, but there's 2 gigabyte versions as well. I would avoid anything older than 9th gen Nvidia or 400 series amd when gpu shopping, and try and get a 4 gigabit card, and only get a 2 gigabyte card if it's a good deal and the price difference is large. The 1030 gddr5 version is barley able to play new games at 720p lowest settings, and the ddr4 version is half the speed, your not going to have a good experience with new games, but it will run older games or indie games just fine if that's your thing. Probably not worth overclocking base clock beacause the vram speed bottleneck on the DDR4 version. Might be worth Trying to overclock the ddr4 memory on the card beacause the memory speed is the bottleneck, or at least one of the bottlenecks in the card. I was hoping to make it faster by overclocking any tips or suggestions? I accidentally bought a gt 1030 with ddr4 ram Core Clock:1.1ghz boost 1.4ghz, Memory Clock:1050 mhz. I'm running a gt 1030ddr4 not overclocked and run most games from 2018 and back, with high or ultra settings and some released after on medium or low settings.
